Lots of BBall
Seven games in three days over the weekend. Game7 McCombs went 4-3 at the Riverside Hawks Summer Tip-Off. Dunno how Kevin picked up the extra games but he did. If they had played the way they are capable of they would have gone 6-1. Two games Fri at Northsport, two games Sat at Interstate Sports Academy in Sayville, two more games in Sayville on Sunday morning followed by a Sunday afternoon game in Northport. I was tired, can only imagine how tired she was.
In the two Friday night loses they came out very slow, dug themselves a big hole in the first half only to come storming back in the second half getting within seconds of overtaking their opponents before the final horn. It was too bad because they played extremely well after both bad starts.
GraceAnne played well all weekend. Got tired and frustrated in the seventh game in a loss against what is a very good Catapano Lightning team.
Scrimmage against Bethany Lesueur's Coast to Coast 8th grade team Tuesday, Lepore Lightning practice Wed., try to see Laura Thurs. and then Hershey PA for USJN with Lightning Lepore for the final tournament of GraceAnne's AAU season. It's been a good season, very unpredictable but Grace has played well and has been having fun. Hershey should be a good time.
Grace has signed on to do a summer league with Gus Sirakis and the Glen Cove varsity at Molloy College in Rockville Centre. I'm guessing they'll take their lumps but it will ready them for the varsity season. She is also in a junior varsity league with her Lightning Lepore teammates that will play at Freeport High School. They'll be the younger kids there as well. A couple local camps and that will be a full sumer for her.
