Been awhile
So, it's Grace's last season playing AAU basketball. This year she is playing for Long Island Renegades White out of Half Hollow Hills. Her coach is Adam Cirnigliaro, the varsity coach at Half Hollow Hills East. It's always tough to join a new team but the parents and kids are all fantastic! Very friendly and welcoming. Grace has been pushed to the 5 once again, sometimes 4. She gets to play in some great tournaments though. Grace had to miss Boo this year because she traveled to Moscow Russia as a basketball ambassador. Just got back from Gym Rats in Saratoga where the team lost in the Championship game. Black Diamond next weekend. USJN in DC, Nike Nationals in Chicago. Team only runs 2 offensive sets. Defensive rotations are... unorthodox? Been interesting to see Grace adapt to a different way of doing things. She's been playing hard, taking a lot of charges by stepping into the lane on help, battling MUCH bigger girls in the post, pretty thankless stuff. I feel l...
