Tris and GraceAnne on the same pickup team?.... too, too much, not fair. I guess the boys are getting themselves an education anyway.



The video missed the part where she was laughing as she was blocking their shots and taking the ball from them. Evil! At one point she just kind of stood flat footed with her hand on the ball while a kid tried to take an impossible shot. She put the ball on the floor a lot more than usual and made some great passes, still not going strong to the rack as often as she can. Not making the offensive moves she's been working on. Having fun though.

In a 3-2 zone you must pressure the ball with on-ball perimeter defense. This means closing out on the pass, going over screens, trapping the corners and ball denial, post players should be denying the post entry pass (fronting or 3/4 in the post). Defensive rotation is critical as it is in all zone defenses. This can be a fun defense to play that confuses offenses and leads to steals and breaks.
